- Abstract:
- The rapid development of emerging industries has led to a shortage of phosphorus resources, while the yellow phosphorus production industry urgently requires green and resource-efficient transformation. Therefore, the recovery of phosphorus resources from high-concentration phosphate production wastewater is being considered. However, the lack of systematic detection methods for complex phosphorus forms in yellow phosphorus production wastewater has hindered resource recovery efforts. Taking the production wastewater from a yellow phosphorus enterprise in Hubei as an example, this study summarized qualitative analysis and quantitative detection methods for different phosphorus forms, investigated the distribution characteristics of phosphorus forms in wastewater from different nodes of a typical yellow phosphorus production process, proposed transformation pathways for different phosphorus forms, and analyzed the transformation mechanisms based on density functional theory calculations. The results showed that the proposed analytical and detection methods were applicable to water samples with complex phosphorus forms. The phosphorus content in yellow phosphorus production wastewater could reach up to 40 g/L, with most samples around 17 g/L, of which approximately 70% was orthophosphate, indicating high potential for phosphorus resource recovery and utilization. This study provides a reference for resource utilization in the yellow phosphorus chemical industry.
